The Story Behind Bliss
Andrea and Nara never planned to become restaurateurs in the Caribbean. “We came here for a one-week vacation, and on the last day, we bought the restaurant,” Andrea recalls with a smile. And so, more than 13 years ago, this Italian chef decided to settle in Cabarete, transforming a French restaurant into what is now Bliss.
“We fell in love with Cabarete—its people, the atmosphere, the vibe, and the sports. From the beginning, we wanted to create a different kind of Italian restaurant—something more innovative, yet still rooted in the traditional recipes of Italy, especially from Piedmont, where I come from,” Andrea explains. Bliss isn’t just an Italian restaurant; it’s a blend of classic and modern, with ancient recipes reimagined to suit a diverse and discerning clientele.

A Unique Culinary Experience
The menu at Bliss rreflects Andrea and Nara's passion for cooking, featuring dishes that stand out for their authenticity and creativity. From homemade pasta, such as tagliolini with lobster sauce and meat-filled ravioli with jus, to international options like Hawaiian poke, every recipe has been carefully crafted, blending flavors Andrea has discovered throughout his travels.
One of Bliss’s key differentiators is its commitment to quality ingredients. “We work with imported Angus beef and fresh local fish, such as tuna and mahi-mahi, as well as octopus, which is one of our most popular starters,” Andrea notes.

The restaurant boasts an extensive wine selection that perfectly complements its culinary offerings. “My wife is a sommelier, so our wine list features over 150 labels,” Andrea says proudly. Most wines come from Italy, but there are also selections from Australia, Chile, and Argentina, ensuring a diverse and high-quality assortment.

Andrea, Nara, and their team don’t settle for the traditional. “We create a special five-course menu every night, so there’s always something new. We keep track of every menu we serve to regular customers, ensuring they always experience something different,” he explains.
