Description

Sail to Saona Island on a catamaran and enjoy a day of relaxation on the beach. Swim in the crystal-clear waters, relax in a hammock, and take a dip in the natural swimming pool. Begin your adventure in Bayahibe, a picturesque fishing village and port, which serves as the launch point for all tours to Saona Island. Transfer buses will bring you to this location, where you will gather and prepare to board the sailing catamaran via a shuttle boat. On the beach, meet your guide, who will provide all the necessary information to ensure you have an unforgettable experience. The guide will also give boarding instructions, and then you’re off. As the sails are hoisted, the journey to Saona Island and its stunning beaches begins. The catamaran will initially follow the coastline, offering breathtaking views of the beautiful landscapes of Cotubanama National Park, a protected natural area of exceptional beauty. While sailing through the Caribbean waters, enjoy local rum and listen to traditional music like Merengue or Bachata, all while marveling at the vibrant colors of the water and sky. Use these relaxing moments to recharge. After approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes of relaxation on the catamaran, arrive at Saona Island. Shuttle buses will transport you to a magnificent beach with white sand and coconut palms. If you ever wondered if paradise exists, you’ll find your answer here. The guide will point out the bar (with open-access drinks), restrooms, buffet, as well as the deckchairs and hammocks available for your use. You will then have two and a half hours to enjoy this wonderful island. Whether you choose to swim in the turquoise waters, take photos, or relax at the bar with a cool beer, the choice is yours. After your meal, swim again or take a well-deserved nap. After these magical moments on this dream island, it’s time to board a motorboat for the natural swimming pool. Here, a sandbar allows you to enjoy the shallow, crystal-clear waters. You’ll be invited to step off the boat via a small ladder to take a refreshing dip while admiring the giant starfish. As tradition dictates, you’ll be offered a glass of Dominican rum, accompanied by local music, to round off the day in style. Then, it’s time to re-board the boat and return to the port of Bayahibe, where your transport will be waiting to take you back to your hotel. Rest assured, you’ll return with incredible memories of this unforgettable experience.
